I don't think I can add anything from the previous reviewers who have given this campground a 10. It so deserves all the accolades. The staff were SO helpful and kind, and they keep the place immaculate. We normally camp at State Parks because we prefer the natural beauty but a sudden death brought us quickly to Asheville, and we just happened upon Campfire Lodgings. What a gem. It had everything we needed for our quick stop-over, and I wish we had more time to enjoy it. We didn't have a premium site as they were booked, but ours was lovely anyway.

A state park with it's own beach and campground was a wonderful find. Also to have full hook ups available at a state park is rare where we come from. The only drawback was the park says it's campground has free Wi-Fi but only if you're in the sites right by the camp store. Our site was in loop 2 and therefore the signal wouldn't reach us. Other than that small inconvenience this was a wonderful park.

The site we were given on the south side of the "resort" would hardly fit a small tent let alone our big 40 foot RV. The roads were dangerously narrow and there was no room for us to back into our spot. Although they assured me upon reservation that our site was no problem to get into, that was definitely not the case. We left without camping there and would never try Twin Mills again.
